Skullcandy’s first truly wireless earbuds leak in FCC filings
2018-11-14T19:27:53Z - Chaim Gartenberg / The Verge
Skullcandy is apparently making the jump to truly wireless earbuds, with an unannounced pair of Skullcandy Push earbuds making it through the FCC today in a filing that managed to reveal almost every single aspect of the device, down to the instruction manual. The headphones automatically turn on when you take them out of the companion charging case, and shut off when stowed. Additionally, the case appears to charge over USB-C, which is nice to see given that the port standard is still surprisingly rare, despite it being almost 2019. There’s no word yet on some of the less technical aspects of the Push headphones, like how long battery life is, when they’ll release, or what they’ll cost. But given that they’ve already made it to this stage of the process, we’ll likely hear more official news from Skullcandy soon.
